Thoughts of improvement

I, Fenmere, the Worm, am out of a day job for a while.

This means that I have more time to devote to my comics. And while I have been steadily improving my work over the past couple of years, I find myself yearning to create something amazing.

But I don't know what.

I have several projects to work on while I search for more work. Who knows? Perhaps one of them will pick up steam and carry me in a new direction.

"I can draw better than this!" has a navigational calendar now, and I've been updating it more regularly.

The Dragon & the Radical has a sequel that's written and just waiting for the artwork.

And I have a comic totally unrelated to Harmless Free Radicals, called Par for the Core. No, the title is not a mistake.

Also, I managed to get a hold of baristawars.com, and I plan on doing something with that. I may solicit help from other cartoonists to finish it, though.

Then, I've got a set of illustrations I'd like to finish for a story I wrote in '97, called Walking Black Water: the Life of Ink.

And finally, I'm supposed to be working on a comic called Crash Crandell in the 21st Century! It was written by Colosus Productions of Bellingham.

This will be a lot of practice, and a huge exercise in time management.

The thing is, I am currently sitting around dreaming about what new kind of direction I could take my cartooning style. Best thing for me to do is grab samples of all my favorite work and have it handy while drawing. And then to also keep drawing from life, of course.

I suspect I will have more to share on this. Eventually.
